Horse Performance Tracker

Terms of use

In force from 12 October 2026

This text is published in French and English. If the two versions differ, the French version prevails.

1. Purpose

Horse Performance Tracker (“the service”) is a show jumping progress tracking service published by CraftData SASU (“the publisher”). It consists of a mobile app and a website.

These terms govern access to the service and its use. They apply to anyone who opens an account or uses the service, whether free of charge or on a paid plan.

They do not cover prices, orders, payment, withdrawal or the cancellation of a subscription: those belong to the terms of sale.

The full details of the publisher and the host are in the legal notice. You can write to the publisher at contact@horseperformancetracker.com.

2. Accepting these terms

Accessing and using the service means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

You can read them at any time on this page.

3. Who can open an account

The service is intended for people aged 15 or over — the age at which a minor can consent alone to the processing of their personal data (article 45 of the French Data Protection Act, article 8 of the GDPR).

Under 15, the account is opened and used under the responsibility of a holder of parental authority, who accepts these terms on the child’s behalf and oversees their use of the service.

The publisher does not verify the age of its users: no age check exists in the service, and this rule rests on what you declare.

Subscribing to a plan has its own conditions, set out in the terms of sale.

4. Your account

You open an account with an email address and a password. The address must be valid and yours: it receives service messages, and verifying it is what opens your free AI credits.

Keep your password confidential. Actions taken from your account are attributed to you until you report that it has been compromised to contact@horseperformancetracker.com.

Give accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. The service

The service lets you keep a log of sessions, track several horses, read progress analytics, produce reports, record care and rations, and share results.

Tracking one horse without AI assistance is free. Beyond that, hosting additional horses and the AI option are part of a subscription, up to a limit of twenty horses.

Prices and subscription terms are on the Pricing page and in the terms of sale.

The service changes over time: features may be added, altered or removed. What such a change means for a running subscription is covered by the terms of sale.

6. Your content stays yours

The content you add — sessions, notes, dictations, data about your horses — remains yours. The publisher acquires no ownership of it.

You grant it only the technical licence needed to run the service: hosting, storing, displaying, computing and returning your content, and sending it to the inference processor for the AI actions you ask for. That licence is free of charge, limited to that purpose, and ends with your account.

For a short you submit to the Leaderboard, this licence also covers showing it to everyone on the app while it is on the Leaderboard. It ends as soon as you remove it from there.

Your content is not used to train any artificial intelligence model, either by the publisher or by its processors.

You confirm that you hold the rights to what you add, in particular to information about other people that you enter.

7. AI assistance

Some features call a language model. There are six of them:

Each action costs one or more credits depending on what it is, and only runs when you ask for it. Verifying your email address opens your free AI credits, the AI option opens a weekly quota, and credit packs can be bought one at a time. Their commercial terms belong to the terms of sale.

The content needed for the action you asked for is sent to Mistral AI, the publisher’s inference processor.

A text produced by the AI and saved by the service can be read again for ninety days after its latest generation, then it is deleted; reading it after that means generating it again. Keep a copy of any you want to hold on to for longer.

8. What the service does not replace

The service is a tracking tool. The analyses, trends and texts it produces — those from the AI in particular — are indicative: they describe what you logged, and they make no diagnosis.

They replace neither veterinary advice nor a professional’s judgement: trainer, farrier, osteopath. If you have any doubt about a horse’s health or fitness, see a vet.

A dictation is transcribed automatically and can get things wrong: read the proposed session before you save it.

9. Sharing and guest access

You can share a session summary card, hand over a progress report, and grant read-only guest access to one horse.

Guest access is granted to a named person, limited to the horse you choose, read-only, and revocable at any time. It transfers no ownership: the horse and its sessions stay yours.

You decide what you share and with whom. Once handed over, a document is outside the service: the publisher can neither take it back nor control how it spreads.

10. Shorts and Leaderboard

A short is made on your phone from the clips and photos you choose: nothing leaves it until you post it. Once posted, it is visible to the horse’s circle, meaning the members of its stable and its guests, until you remove it.

You can submit a posted short to the Leaderboard, the showcase of shorts open to everyone on the app. The publisher’s team watches it before putting it there. It stays for thirty days, with the horse’s name and age but without your name, and users can like or report it. You can remove it from there at any time.

Only post and submit footage you have the right to show: any recognizable person in it must have agreed to be shown. A short must not contain violence, hate speech, sexual content, mistreatment of an animal or advertising, and must show a horse at work.

A short reported by three users is hidden from the Leaderboard until the team decides. The publisher may refuse a short that breaks these rules or remove it from the Leaderboard; it then stays visible to the horse’s circle. Clearly unlawful content falls under the article “Suspension and closure by the publisher”.

11. What you agree not to do

When using the service, you agree not to:

12. Availability

The publisher takes reasonable steps to keep the service running, without committing to a stated uptime figure.

The service can be interrupted for maintenance, updates or incidents. When an interruption is planned and significant, the publisher tells users as soon as it can.

The service also depends on things beyond the publisher’s control: your device, your connection, and its own hosting and inference providers.

13. Legal guarantee

As a consumer, you have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services set out in articles L224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code. It lets you require the service to be brought into conformity, and nothing in these terms limits or sets it aside.

You also keep the benefit of other legal guarantees and of ordinary liability law.

To rely on this guarantee, write to contact@horseperformancetracker.com.

14. The publisher’s intellectual property

The app, the website, their interfaces, texts, trademarks and graphics belong to the publisher. Your use of the service, free or paid, gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use for as long as your account exists.

You do not copy the service, decompile it or derive works from it, beyond what the law allows.

The reports and documents produced from your data are yours: you use them freely, including with your own clients.

15. Personal data

The processing carried out by the publisher, its legal bases, its processors, how long data is kept, your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and your right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL, are set out in the privacy policy.

You can export your data from your account at any time, in a structured format.

16. Suspension and closure by the publisher

The publisher may suspend or close an account for a clear breach of these terms: unlawful use, harm to the service or to its users, non-payment.

It first sends you a formal notice stating the breach and giving you reasonable time to put it right. It can skip that notice only in an emergency: an ongoing threat to the security of the service, manifestly unlawful content, or an order from an authority.

The measure is proportionate to the breach, and you get reasonable time to export your data before the account is closed, except where the law forbids it.

What happens to a running subscription is covered by the terms of sale.

17. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app, after confirming your password.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. It erases your account and everything that depends on it: horses, sessions, care, rations, reports and credits. There is no bin, no retention period and no way back — the publisher will not be able to restore anything, even if you ask.

So export whatever you want to keep before you delete your account.

Your accounting records are the exception: the law requires the publisher to keep them for ten years, so they outlive the deletion of your account, with no link left to it. Cancelling a running subscription is covered by the terms of sale.

18. Changes to these terms

The publisher may change these terms, in particular to follow a change in the service or in the law. The version in force is the one published on this page.

Any substantial change is announced to you before it takes effect, by email or in the service. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept it; if you do not, you can delete your account.

19. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by French law.

If you are a consumer living in another European Union member state, you keep the benefit of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence (Rome I Regulation, article 6).

For any complaint, write to contact@horseperformancetracker.com: the publisher will reply within a reasonable time. Remedies specific to a purchase, including consumer mediation, are in the terms of sale.
